A SpringHill Suites hotel by Marriott is coming to Rutherford Crossing, the nearest shopping center to Snowden Bridge.
According to reports by the Winchester Star and other news sources, a four-story hotel with 96 rooms will be constructed on Market Street, across from where the Lowe’s is. The Star reports that the hotel will sit on a 2.13 acre lot and will have 98 parking spaces. Amenities will include a lounge/dining area, a fitness center and an indoor pool.
Site work on the lot has already begun, however, there is no information about when the hotel will be completed.
The SpringHill Suites Brand
SpringHill Suites by Marriott is an upscale all-suites hotel that offers an attractive, modern décor. The lobby and guest suites feature proprietary west elm furniture, while the bathrooms come stocked with Paul Mitchell products, and the hotel’s 24-hour market offers little extras such as premium beer and wines, and elevated snacks (think Sriracha popcorn, Tate’s Cookies, etc).
SpringHill Suites offers free wi-fi, a dedicated business center, and a fully equipped fitness center with a range of equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, dumb bells, etc.
The SpringHill Suites brand consistently ranks among the top Marriott brands in guest satisfaction and has won numerous J.D. Power awards for service.
A Welcome Development
The demand for a quality hotel in the Stephenson area is already there. Traveling FEMA employees, visiting Amazon executives, and guests of Snowden Bridge residents will have a place to stay that is much closer than the nearest hotels off Rt. 7 and I-81.
